Supervisor Audit - Financial Services

Job Purpose and Responsibilities

This role involves executing the Audit Plan to provide clients with expert knowledge and business solutions specific to their markets. The goal is to reduce risks and enhance revenue by utilizing established audit methodologies.

• Perform thorough audit planning.
• Conduct fieldwork and delegate tasks appropriately to audit assistants.
• Coach and mentor audit assistants during engagements.
• Prepare financial statements, transmittal letters, and other required deliverables.
• Keep managers and partners informed about audit progress and any issues encountered.
• Ensure partner and manager reviews are completed.
• Finalize documentation and follow up on any pending information.
• Analyze costs related to work-in-progress (WIP) audits.
• Prepare timely fee note requisitions and follow up on collection of outstanding payments.
• Maintain strong relationships with client financial management teams.
• Take overall responsibility for audits of medium to large-sized clients.
• Attend and oversee stock counts and subsequent follow-up activities.

Candidate Profile

Education and Qualifications:

• BSc in Accounting or equivalent.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA.
• Comprehensive understanding of IFRS and ISA standards.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years auditing experience, including at least 2 years post qualification.
• Prior work with clients in real estate, construction, and related sectors, as well as oil and gas industries.
• Hands-on experience implementing advanced auditing methodologies.

Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic in speaking, reading, writing, and listening.
