About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Supermarket Assistant to enrich every customer visit with the distinctive Partner-led service and deep passion for food that sets us apart. By offering exceptional customer care and going the extra mile, you will help build lasting customer trust and loyalty to the Waitrose brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently replenish stock to keep shelves well-stocked and ensure products are timely and correctly placed for customers.
• Prepare online customer orders for prompt delivery by drivers directly to customers' homes.
• Minimize product wastage by applying due diligence to product expiry dates and managing markdowns appropriately.
• Collaborate with the wider store team to support various tasks including checkout assistance, handling Click & Collect orders, and fulfilling immediate customer requests.
• Maintain a tidy and safe work environment by performing general shopkeeping duties.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within the team and engage positively with customers.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous.
• Current knowledge and enthusiastic interest in food and drink trends.
• Adaptable and flexible approach to support the entire branch’s needs.
