About the Role
A leading international law firm seeks a commercially minded Senior Associate for its Structured Finance and Capital Markets team based in Dublin. This position offers the chance to engage in complex, high-value domestic and cross-border matters including securitisations, structured finance products, debt capital markets, fund finance, and innovative credit structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide counsel to banks and non-bank lenders on securitisations involving asset-backed portfolios such as residential mortgages and auto loans.
- Advise financial institutions and corporate clients on transactions related to Irish Section 110 companies.
- Support private equity, hedge, and credit funds, along with institutional investors, in direct lending platforms and credit arrangements.
- Guide managers, arrangers, and investors on collateralised loan obligation (CLO) deals and associated financing structures.
- Create innovative finance solutions for private equity sponsors, asset managers, and institutional credit providers.
- Advise on fund financing including subscription lines, NAV, and hybrid facilities.
- Collaborate closely with specialists in Investment Funds, Tax, Corporate, and Financial Regulation.
- Manage transactions and workstreams independently while coordinating with larger deal teams.
- Maintain and foster strong client relationships.
- Contribute to business development efforts and facilitate practice growth.
- Mentor and oversee junior legal professionals.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of five years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Proven expertise in a top-tier banking, finance, or capital markets practice.
- Relevant experience across structured finance, securitisation, debt capital markets, or fund finance transactions.
- Strong technical, drafting, and project management capabilities.
- Ability to juggle multiple complex deals and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent commercial awareness and client-centric mindset.
- Confident in independently managing workstreams and collaborating within transaction teams.
- Interest in mentoring junior colleagues and supporting a positive team environment.
