Structural Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 2 to 5+ years of professional experience to join a reputable multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm based in Galway. This role involves working on an extensive range of large-scale projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. The successful candidate will report to Senior Associates and will receive strong support and guidance.

Sample Projects

• Residential developments including 100 units of 1-4 bedroom apartments valued at €26.5M
• Developments comprising 650 houses and apartments worth €75M
• 123 units of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments with a value of €26.5M
• Various commercial projects ranging from €5M to €25M in value
• Several hotel projects valued between €2M and €20M
• Industrial projects exceeding €1M to €5M+

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineering of concrete and steel structures for large-scale residential, commercial, and industrial developments
• Managing personal project assignments
• Potential to lead and supervise a small team depending on expertise

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Level 8 or 9 Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Ideally chartered or actively progressing toward chartership
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Structural Engineering role
• Proficiency in design software, including Finite Element Analysis tools, AutoCAD, Tedds, and Tekla Structures
• Capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and meet tight project deadlines with precision
• Strong communication skills are essential

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary ranging from €50,000 to €55,000 depending on experience
