Job description
About Slate
Slate is pioneering the next generation lending platform, integrating policy as code, instant document verification, and AI-driven pre-assessments. Their technology enables lenders, brokers, and clients to receive decisions within minutes instead of days, while allowing credit teams to focus on decision-making rather than paperwork. Collaborating closely with innovative lenders such as OwnHome, Slate's AI-centric team operates out of Sydney using the same advanced tools they develop.

- Introduce structure and accelerate progress within various teams, leaving optimized working methods.
- Balance multiple priorities while keeping leadership informed about trade-offs.

- Automated company-wide reporting and the generation of board minutes and investor updates, reducing time from days to hours.
Desired Profile
- 2 to 4 years experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG), or similarly demanding roles such as investment banking, high-growth startups, or entrepreneurial ventures.
- Exceptional ability to transform ambiguous, complex problems into clear solutions and practical implementations.
- Strong quantitative capabilities, including independent model building and decision-making with incomplete data.
- Proficient hands-on experience with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor, including practical development beyond basic usage.
- Ability to work efficiently and thoughtfully, shifting seamlessly between big picture perspectives and detailed analysis.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the capacity to influence across organizational levels without formal authority.
- Strong ownership mentality ensuring accountability and completion of responsibilities.
- Interest in lending or financial services is advantageous but not mandatory; curiosity is essential.
