About the Role

We invite applications for the position of Global Sourcing Manager based in the United Arab Emirates, offering a fully remote full-time opportunity. This role targets mid-level to senior professionals eager to lead global sourcing operations for diverse product lines. Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies that align with growth objectives, product categories, cost efficiency, quality standards, lead times, capacity targets, risk management, and sustainability goals.
  • Design and apply sourcing plans across categories, product groups, materials, suppliers, countries, regions, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Introduce sourcing approaches encompassing multiple countries to maximize cost-effectiveness, quality, capacity, agility, and resilience while managing risk.
  • Identify opportunities for geographical diversification of sourcing activities.
  • Assess optimal sourcing locations tailored to specific products and materials.
  • Continuously monitor global supply-market trends to refine strategies.
  • Develop sourcing roadmaps articulating short, medium, and long-term supplier and manufacturing needs.
  • Translate commercial, product, demand, and supply chain inputs into actionable sourcing plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Buying, Merchandising, Product Development, Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain to anticipate and meet sourcing needs.
  • Establish and sustain a global network of suppliers and factories, conducting supplier identification, evaluation, qualification, onboarding, and development.
  • Map supplier markets and carefully assess supplier capabilities.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in global and strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supplier management, and supply chain sourcing across diverse industries such as fashion, consumer goods, electronics, packaging, and industrial products is highly beneficial.
  • Deep knowledge of global sourcing strategies and international supplier markets.
  • Proven track record managing multiple suppliers, factories, and sourcing projects across countries and regions.
  • Familiarity with international manufacturing ecosystems and supplier capabilities.
  • Skill in developing multi-country sourcing tactics and geographic diversification.
  • Expertise in supplier identification, qualification, onboarding, and development is essential.
  • Comprehensive experience managing RFQ, RFP, tender, quotation, and competitive sourcing processes.
  • Strong negotiating skills covering pricing, minimum order quantities, payment terms, capacity, lead time, tooling, development costs, quality, delivery, rebates, and other commercial terms.
  • Understanding of cost models including should-cost analysis, cost breakdowns, target costing, benchmarking, and total cost analysis.
  • Track record of delivering significant sourcing savings and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Ability to differentiate purchase price savings from total landed cost improvements.
  • Use of volume leverage, supplier competition, specification optimization, supplier consolidation, and process enhancements to improve results.
  • Experience in supplier capacity planning and managing production lead times.
  • Expertise in securing supplier capacity for seasonal, promotional, launch, and peak demand periods.
  • Proficiency in supplier performance management including scorecards, business reviews, corrective actions, and development programs.
  • Knowledge of supplier and country risk, supply continuity, and diversification strategies including dual sourcing and contingency planning.
  • Understanding of international trade regulations, country-of-origin rules, tariffs, customs, logistics, and import requirements.
  • Capability to analyze and evaluate country and regional sourcing prospects.
  • Familiarity with product development and manufacturing processes.
