Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned and commercially insightful Strategic Account Manager to join our Commercial Sales team. This role focuses on overseeing a portfolio of key national accounts, fostering robust customer relationships, and driving consistent growth through thoughtful account strategy, innovation, and value delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and expand a portfolio of strategic national accounts.
- Create and implement joint business plans aimed at revenue growth, improving customer retention, and enhancing margins.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with senior decision-makers and essential stakeholders.
- Lead formal customer engagement initiatives and regular business review sessions.
- Spot opportunities to increase the business share and grow existing accounts.
- Champion customer value delivery strategies to minimize total ownership costs and position Sealed Air as a premier solutions partner.
- Organize innovation workshops, customer sessions, and strategic planning meetings.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, and Manufacturing to deliver on customer plans.
Required Experience and Skills
- Proven track record in Strategic or Key Account Management.
- Successful history of developing enduring customer partnerships and achieving commercial expansion.
- Strong business insight with a knack for pinpointing and leveraging commercial opportunities.
- Experienced in formulating and executing strategic business agendas.
- Excellent skills in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and influence.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Competence in project management and implementation.
- Experience conducting customer business reviews and leading executive-level meetings.
- Familiarity with CRM software and ERP systems.

Qualifications
- Preferred bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
- Equivalent professional commercial experience also acceptable.
- Must hold a valid New Zealand Driver's Licence.
