About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional familiar with STRAP environments and passionate about reinforcing security culture within departments. Join the Department Security Unit at HM Treasury, part of the Corporate Centre Group, offering essential support across Treasury Group services including technology, estates, security, and information management.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and securely manage all HMT STRAP facilities and sensitive materials, ensuring robust access control and upkeep of security equipment.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with STRAP authorities, collaborating within government security functions to analyze data, establish resilience measures, and provide expert advice.
- Provide comprehensive system training and quality induction for users at all levels, including senior executives and ministers.
- Ensure adherence to information management policies by supervising the handling of highly classified documents.
- Manage candidate vetting applications, oversee vetting processes, and organize incoming communications efficiently.
About You
- Excellent verbal and written communicator with a customer-oriented, proactive mindset.
- Capable leader and team collaborator able to negotiate and engage with stakeholders at varying seniority levels.
- Committed to upholding top security standards, able to develop and adhere to security policies and procedures.
- Analytical thinker who can resolve challenges, make sound decisions, and identify improvement opportunities.
