About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Storeperson to join our warehouse team in Auburn. This practical role involves careful management of stock, ensuring that all items are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and safely, while upholding stringent safety and quality protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming stock accurately, documenting any discrepancies.
- Pick and pack orders promptly, preparing dispatch paperwork as per schedule.
- Label, package, and store goods in their proper locations.
- Maintain precise inventory data within the ERP system.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and actively contribute to stocktake activities.
- Keep the warehouse environment tidy, organized, and compliant with 5S standards.
- Perform pre-shift checks on equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Operate forklifts and other handling equipment safely, including carousel and wave pickers.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles as needed.
- Commit to safe work practices to support a zero-harm workplace.
Essential Requirements
- Possession of LF or high reach forklift licence with operational experience.
- At least two years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and ERP software platforms.
- Strong customer service approach and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
- Certificate III in Warehousing or a related qualification.
- High school certification.
- Working knowledge of MS Office at an intermediate level.
- Understanding of occupational health and safety (OH&S), quality assurance, and lean management principles.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence.
Physical Demands
- Roles will involve regular standing, walking, forklift driving, and manual handling.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 20 kilograms using safe methods and PPE.
