Job Overview
We seek a dependable and methodical Storekeeper to oversee daily store operations. This role involves managing receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and inventory control to maintain precise stock records and effective storage processes, ensuring materials are available when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete procurement processes for materials, products, and services.
- Source and build relationships with dependable suppliers.
- Gather and compare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and confirm orders.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders following company guidelines.
- Work with vendors to guarantee prompt deliveries and address supply challenges.
- Track purchase orders, delivery timelines, and manage pending or outstanding orders.
- Maintain thorough procurement documentation including vendor records and purchasing data.
- Assess supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service factors.
- Drive cost-saving efforts and negotiate advantageous commercial terms.
- Collaborate with finance, warehouse, operations, and other departments for procurement needs.
- Verify procurement documents such as invoices, POs, and delivery receipts.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and approval workflows.
- Prepare routine procurement reports, management information system (MIS) updates, and status reports for leadership.
- Help develop and maintain a database of approved vendors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Two to five years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or sourcing role.
- Solid understanding of vendor management, quotation analysis, negotiation, and purchase order procedures.
- Competency in MS Excel and general MS Office applications.
- Experience with ERP or procurement management software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and abide by deadlines.
