Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Storekeeper to support our inventory management and provide excellent assistance to colleagues, ensuring seamless service delivery that exceeds guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver professional, welcoming, and engaging service.
- Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Manage receipt of merchandise into storerooms accurately.
- Fulfill all store goods issuance based on storeroom requisitions.
- Process daily requisitions using Birchstreet system.
- Recycle beverage containers and maintain storeroom cleanliness and organization.
- Properly arrange items in storerooms to support physical inventory counts.
- Assist in transferring goods from the loading dock to hotel end users.
- Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
- Uphold the Fairmont brand promise and embody luxury in all interactions.
- Contribute to an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or similar inventory environment preferred.
- Familiarity with Birchstreet, Adaco, or other inventory control platforms is advantageous.
- Physical capability to safely lift heavy items; must be in excellent physical condition.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Dependable and responsible work ethic.
- Capacity to remain calm, courteous, and focused on guest needs under pressure.
- Team-oriented with minimal supervision required.
Eligibility and Visa Requirements
Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada; the hotel cannot sponsor work visas.
