Store Paint Specialist

Role Overview

NAPA Auto Parts is actively seeking a motivated and diligent Paint Specialist to become an integral member of our expanding auto parts team located in Honolulu, HI. This role suits individuals who are not only passionate about customer service but also thrive on effective collaboration within a dynamic work environment. As a Paint Specialist, you will play a crucial part in supporting the store team by delivering expert knowledge and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately mix paint formulations according to specifications.
• Assist customers by addressing inquiries related to auto body repair and paint finishes.
• Provide detailed information on auto parts including features, advantages, and warranty details.
• Support fellow team members in a high-energy retail setting.
• Handle cash register operations and manage computer-based as well as paper catalog systems.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in paint application or body shop work is mandatory.
• Automotive industry knowledge or hands-on experience is essential.
• ASE P2 Parts Certification is advantageous but not required.
• Exhibit a positive mindset and dedication to outstanding customer care.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• eagerness to engage in ongoing training and skill development.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail atmosphere while maintaining enthusiasm.
• Familiarity with cataloging and/or inventory management systems is a plus.
• Availability to work on weekends is compulsory.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license or dependable transportation is necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting wage of $21.75 per hour, with potential adjustments based on individual qualifications and expertise.
