Role Purpose

The Store Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the manufacturing process by managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and control of inventory efficiently. This position ensures accurate record-keeping, monitors inventory flows, handles documentation, and assists procurement activities, all while complying with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Distribute materials and spare parts to workers based on sanctioned requisitions.
• Keep precise stock records by updating stock and bin cards along with inventory logs.
• Arrange materials methodically for easy identification and access.
• Inspect and verify the quantity and quality of goods received from suppliers.
• Generate and handle Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and record incoming goods for both local and imported items.
• Process supplier invoices and forward necessary documentation to the Accounts Department for timely payments.
• Maintain comprehensive record and file systems for inventory transactions and management.
• Manage the Tools Movement Register to properly track company tools and assets.
• Assist in urgent procurement of approved materials when necessary.
• Regularly perform stock audits and report any inventory discrepancies identified.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety guidelines, and workplace safety regulations.
• Promptly report food safety issues, hazards, and near-miss events through proper channels.
• Carry out other duties as assigned to support overall operational needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Higher National Diploma (HND) in Purchasing & Supply, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of practical experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or warehouse operations, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
• Sound understanding of inventory management systems and stock control methods.
• Familiarity with SAP software is advantageous.
