About the Role

Panda Express is seeking seasoned leaders to join our store management team. We prioritize both professional and personal growth for our associates by providing paid Store Management Leadership Training, mentorship, and support within our Panda family community. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of a single store, including hiring, directing, and managing team members to meet financial targets and ensure outstanding guest experiences. This position serves as the initial step toward becoming a General Manager, with extensive training and certification provided to prepare you for future leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of store operations to ensure success.
  • Hire, lead, and guide associates to fulfill financial objectives.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and guest experiences.
  • Complete 12 or more weeks of store leadership training, evaluations, and General Manager certification (GO100).

Desired Qualifications

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Be willing to relocate within a 50-mile radius of your current home if needed.
  • Available to work flexible schedules, including opening and closing shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demands.
  • Hold valid Food Safety certification such as Serve Safe.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work environments may be hot with steam and food vapors, requiring prolonged standing. Employees are expected to prepare various hot and cold foods, use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The job demands effective verbal communication, adaptability, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and often loud setting.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Complimentary meals during working hours at Panda.
  • Competitive salary with bonus opportunities.
  • Comprehensive medical, vision, dental, short-term disability, and cancer income protection insurance for full-time staff.
  • Pre-tax dependent care flexible spending account and 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Paid time off including holidays, bereavement leave, and participation in Leave Share Program.
  • Discounts for theme parks, gym memberships, and other perks.
  • Opportunities for community engagement and contribution.
  • Hands-on, paid leadership training and ongoing career development.
  • Eligibility for promotions into leadership roles including General Manager.
  • Continuous education assistance and scholarship opportunities.
  • Lucrative referral bonuses for introducing new associates.
  • Additional income protection such as Disability, Life, and AD&D insurance.
