Store Manager - Premium Off-Licence

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Store Manager to lead a prestigious off-licence and specialty drinks outlet based in South Dublin. This role is ideal for someone passionate about wine, spirits, and premium beverages, and who enjoys delivering a sophisticated and informed customer service experience. As the Store Manager, you will oversee all daily activities and commercial operations, steering your team to meet sales goals while maintaining exceptional merchandising and store standards.

Primary Duties

• Assume full responsibility for the daily management and financial success of the store.
• Boost sales, profitability, and overall store outcomes by meeting defined goals and KPIs.
• Provide an upscale customer shopping experience, delivering expert and engaging service.
• Lead and inspire the team, fostering an encouraging and results-oriented atmosphere.
• Oversee stock management including ordering, availability, rotation, and accuracy for wine, spirits, beer, and other premium products.
• Ensure merchandising and product display standards are consistently high throughout the store.
• Handle payroll, staff scheduling, workforce planning, and control operational expenses.
• Evaluate sales data to spot trends and seize opportunities for growth.
• Ensure proper execution of promotions, pricing strategies, and product layouts.
• Develop team members' product expertise through effective coaching and training.
• Maintain store operational, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally with a service-oriented approach.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager within retail, ideally in an off-licence, wine retail, premium grocery, or specialty retail environment.
• Demonstrated skills in managing sales performance, inventory control, payroll, and key performance indicators.
• Strong passion for wine, spirits, and premium beverage categories.
• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
• Business acumen with a focus on enhancing commercial results.
• Commitment to high standards in merchandising and store aesthetics.
• Proactive, engaging, and energetic leadership style.
• WSET certification or prior wine education is advantageous; further training will be supported.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges between €45,000 and €50,000 plus bonus opportunities.
