Store Manager

Role Overview

We seek a seasoned Textile Retail Store Manager to command daily store operations, ensuring seamless workflows aimed at amplifying sales while minimizing expenses. The incumbent will spearhead the organization of all store activities, staff management, budgeting, and evaluation of sales data to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all store functions, allocating duties to team members appropriately
• Lead, supervise, and motivate staff to achieve peak performance levels
• Develop and manage the store’s budget with a focus on cost-efficiency
• Track inventory levels and procurement activities, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints
• Handle customer grievances promptly to uphold the store’s reputation
• Inspect store premises regularly, resolving any operational issues
• Design and execute in-store promotional campaigns and displays
• Keep informed of current market trends to recommend store improvements
• Analyze sales and revenue to forecast business performance
• Guarantee compliance with all legal health and safety requirements

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a retail store manager or similar managerial role within textiles
• Strong understanding of retail management best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Robust organizational and leadership capabilities
• Good commercial acumen
• Analytical mindset with knowledge of data analysis techniques
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred

• Flexibility to work varied schedules including opening and closing shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Assistance to customers by guiding product selections, resolving questions, and addressing concerns
• Conducting employee performance appraisals; supporting recruitment, training, promotion, coaching, and disciplinary actions
• Preparation of store for daily operations including opening and closing activities
• Requires at least seven years of extensive retail management experience, encompassing operational oversight, front-end and back-end management, and sales supervision
• Experience managing multiple department heads and supervisors is essential
