Store Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a Store Manager for our Baie-Comeau location at 193 Boul La Salle, Quebec. This role offers an annual salary ranging from $45,500 to $60,000 depending on experience, plus bonuses and benefits.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday with one Saturday per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage staff and store operations daily under guidance of the coordinator, including coaching, ordering, bank deposits, personnel management, and financial reporting
• Conduct interviews, hiring and training of staff
• Deliver excellent customer service by fostering lasting relationships with clients and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with merchandising and planogram standards
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, ensuring a stimulating work environment
• Guarantee availability of food products
• Prepare and cook food following hygiene and safety standards
• Keep store, equipment, and food sections clean, organized, and attractive

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum six months of experience in personnel management or retail
• Strong skills in human resources management
• Ability to motivate, manage, and coach a team effectively
• Availability to respond to emergencies if needed
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to regularly and independently lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 12 kg (25 lbs)
• Proficiency in French is mandatory in compliance with the French language law for employees in the Quebec region
• Bonus subject to change
