Position Overview
The Store Leader serves as the core driving force of the store, working alongside Assistant Managers to execute marketing and merchandising plans, boost profitability, develop team capabilities, and ensure excellent customer experiences. Role Responsibilities
- Lead customer service operations and provide coaching and training to store staff.
- Focus on employee retention by recruiting qualified candidates, nurturing leadership, empowering workers, and driving productivity.
- Manage execution of merchandising and marketing strategies within the store.
- Analyze and utilize profit and loss (P&L) statements and store reports to direct improvements and changes.
- Oversee cash handling, fuel transaction processing, and encourage use of the store’s loyalty rewards program.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards by adhering to health and sanitation guidelines, ensuring product availability.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers both verbally and in writing.
- Utilize computer software proficiently, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
Qualifications
- Prior supervisory or retail management experience preferred; minimum one year if High School diploma or GED is not held.
- Valid driver’s license with maintained automotive liability insurance as required.
- Capability to perform physical tasks including multitasking, bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
