Store Associate cum Cashier

Job Overview

This position involves boosting sales by assisting customers with their product choices, delivering excellent service, and accurately handling billing transactions to ensure smooth checkout processes. The role includes maintaining cash drawer accuracy and contributing to overall store sales goals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Guide customers in choosing products aligned with their preferences and needs.
• Accurately process sales using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Manage payments via cash, cards, UPI, and other digital methods according to store policies.
• Generate precise invoices, correctly applying discounts and promotions.
• Maintain balanced cash drawers during shifts, aiming for zero discrepancies.
• Securely handle cash and promptly report any inconsistencies to the Store Manager.
• Encourage additional purchases and cross-selling to increase average bill value and units sold per transaction.
• Keep informed about new stock arrivals, promotional activities, and pricing to provide accurate customer information.
• Welcome and engage customers warmly upon store entry.
• Share detailed product knowledge regarding imitation jewellery, including materials, designs, and care instructions.
• Address customer questions to ensure a positive shopping experience and maintain a customer satisfaction rating of 90% or higher.
• Arrange products according to visual merchandising standards.
• Assist with restocking items on the sales floor.
• Notify Store or Assistant Manager about low inventory or best-selling items.
• Keep assigned store areas clean and organized.
• Provide support at the billing counter during busy periods.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completed 10th or 12th grade education.
• Between zero and three years of retail sales experience; fresh candidates with strong communication skills are welcome.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
