Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Canberra operation. This full-time position involves managing the pricing and preparation of stone benchtop projects from initial enquiries through to production setup. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong knowledge of stone materials and fabrication, responsible for converting plans, drawings, and measurements into precise quotations and ensuring seamless job setup for the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate quotations and tender documents for projects involving natural stone and porcelain benchtops.
• Interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and site measurements effectively.
• Create and manage nesting and cutting files for production purposes.
• Communicate professionally with clients, builders, and workshop teams.
• Draft clear scopes of work and comprehensive job documentation.
• Assist in planning job schedules and maintain a smooth estimating workflow.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in estimating within the stone or benchtop industry.
• Competent in reading and interpreting plans, shop drawings, and site measurements.
• Familiarity with nesting/cutting software and estimating applications.
• Strong understanding of natural stone types and fabrication techniques.
• Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all estimates.
• Excellent communication skills for engagement with clients and production teams.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary ranging between $80,000 and $100,000 depending on experience.
• Superannuation in accordance with standard regulations.
