Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Stocktake Auditor or a hospitality professional with management or supervisory experience in bar, pub, or restaurant settings who is adept at wet and dry stocktakes. This role offers sociable hours — Monday to Friday with evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays off, and 8 to 10 days off during Christmas.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will develop ongoing relationships with various clients including restaurants, pubs, bars, and retail entertainment venues in Exeter and nearby areas, visiting them regularly to conduct wet and dry stocktakes. You will also analyze stock results using EPoS systems, generating reports and advising clients on stock utilization strategies to enhance their profitability.
Requirements
- Previous experience in stocktaking is highly preferred; alternatively, candidates who have worked as Bar Manager, Pub Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor within hospitality with stocktaking experience will be considered.
- Competency with EPoS systems including running stocktake reports and item management; training provided on company systems.
- Strong organizational, time management, and administrative abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Good understanding of stock yields and depletion processes.
- Access to a personal vehicle is required as travel within the designated area is part of the role.

- Annual salary between £26,500 and £28,500 dependent on experience.
