Job description
Job Summary
The Stocker plays a vital role in maintaining store inventory and cleanliness. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this role involves stocking merchandise and ensuring the store environment is orderly and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers courteously as they enter the store or approach the gas island
- Stock coolers and freezers according to established planograms
- Fill store shelves and product displays following planogram layouts
- Maintain cleanliness of coolers and store shelves
- Rotate inventory from back stock to the sales floor using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method
- Price merchandise in compliance with company standards
- Operate safely using necessary equipment such as ladders, step ladders, tools, and gloves
- Clean and replenish supplies in restrooms
- Maintain cleanliness and stock levels in beverage and food service areas
- Manage cleanliness and restocking of gasoline island supplies and gas pumps
- Clean store windows and window sills
- Organize and clean storage rooms and back areas of the store
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Physical demands include frequent bending, standing, and walking throughout the entire workday
- Ability to safely climb ladders as necessary
- Handle cleaning chemicals properly
- Capable of lifting weights frequently up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
