Stewarding Supervisor

Overview

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Lusail, Qatar, is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee and support stewarding operations for enhanced cleanliness and kitchen efficiency. This role involves leading stewards, managing cleaning standards, supporting kitchen and banquet activities, and assisting with employee development.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and support stewards to optimize cleanup operations.
• Monitor and document water temperature and chemical levels used in cleaning processes.
• Assist with banquet plate setups and help kitchen staff and cooks with various tasks.
• Ensure supplies for cooks are available as needed and maintain stock for banquets and buffets.
• Return cleaned equipment and items to designated spots.
• Operate and care for cleaning equipment including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Assist management in recruitment, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Comply with company policies including safety protocols, report hazards and incidents, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information while protecting company property.
• Welcome and attend to guest needs according to company standards using clear professional communication.
• Foster positive teamwork to achieve organizational goals.
• Maintain quality standards and expected service levels.
• Physically able to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds unaided and perform tasks involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, twisting, and navigating uneven surfaces.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in a related role.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
• No required license or certification.
