Steward

Position Overview

The Steward plays a vital role in ensuring all washable items are cleaned, stored, and maintained in a sanitary environment that complies with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machinery to maintain a consistent supply of clean and sanitary tableware.
• Uphold personal hygiene and sanitation regulations as specified by the Health Department.
• Follow prescribed food storage, handling, and preparation guidelines.
• Comply with established Ecosure standards to maintain hygiene.
• Keep the work area clean and secure by regularly cleaning floors, removing trash, properly storing equipment, and ensuring the dishwashing area is tidy before shift end.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely to sanitize tableware.
• Complete all required training programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience and genuine interest in consumer service.
• Willingness to acquire new skills and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Adherence to cleanliness standards in service areas.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures as instructed.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and climb regularly.
• Work performed under direct supervision with established policies; limited independent judgment required.
