Steward

Position Summary

The Steward is responsible for thoroughly cleaning, storing, and maintaining all washable items within a safe and sanitary work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines to guarantee a steady supply of clean, hygienic tableware.
• Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation in accordance with Health Department regulations.
• Adhere to proper food storage, handling, and preparation protocols.
• Follow established Ecosure standards diligently.
• Keep a clean and safe workspace through routine floor cleaning, trash disposal, proper equipment storage, and cleaning the dish area before shift completion.
• Handle cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely and correctly.
• Complete all required training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience and enthusiasm for delivering excellent consumer service.
• Willingness to acquire new skills and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a cooperative team-oriented mindset.
• Maintain clean and organized service areas.
• Comply with established Standard Operating Procedures as instructed.

Physical Requirements

• Regular walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and climbing.

Supervision and Judgment

Work tasks are performed under direct supervision following well-defined policies. There is limited scope for independent decision-making. Supervisors review work outcomes.
