About the Role

Pinewood Country Club is seeking a dedicated Steward to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in hospitality settings and are committed to delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Executive and Sous Chefs to uphold kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Remove leftover food from used dishes, including pots, pans, plates, flatware, and glasses, sanitize them, and return to their designated storage areas.
• Assist in cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and polishing the restaurant, bar, kitchen, and equipment.
• Replenish wait staff stations with essentials like napkins, utensils, trays, and condiments, and support wait staff during service.
• Adhere strictly to sanitation protocols and safe food handling practices.
• Maintain organized and tidy kitchen, dining, service areas, storage rooms, and refrigeration units, including condiment, soup, salad, and pizza stations, as well as dish return zones.
• Contribute to opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Provide assistance as requested by the Executive Chef or Chef on Duty.

Candidate Requirements

• Preferably possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Exhibit a friendly, polite, and courteous demeanor.
• Possess robust customer service abilities and be an effective team collaborator.
• Hold a valid Food Handlers’ certification.
• Function well under fast-paced and high-pressure conditions.
• Demonstrate strong communication and coordination competencies.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have the physical endurance to stand for extended periods.
