Job Summary

The role involves spearheading enhancements in the stamping process by diagnosing and addressing production challenges, supporting tool design reviews, and providing training to teams with the goal of meeting quality, productivity, and cost objectives within a fast-paced stamping environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and solve issues related to stamping to achieve targets in quality, cost, and productivity.
• Support assessment of stamping tool designs for new product developments to ensure they are manufacturing-compatible.
• Work closely with the Production Team to meet operational targets and objectives.
• Define and optimize process capabilities, set parameter configurations, and establish cost metrics, Bill of Material (BOM), and work instructions for dies and related processes.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives or enhancements to boost quality and competitiveness for existing and future stamping requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and training to Toolmakers and Production Technicians to enable efficient operations.
• Lead and train teams of Toolmakers and Production Technicians to uphold high performance standards.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and advocate safe work practices within the stamping areas.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering, or NTC II certification in Tool and Die Making.
• If diploma holder: minimum of 5 years experience in a high-speed stamping environment.
• If NTC II holder: minimum of 15 years experience in die maintenance and stamping operations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting die and part drawings.
• Strong understanding of metal forming as well as die making and maintenance processes.
