Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Team Management Suite and contribute to the Scheduling product. This role involves designing, building, and delivering scalable software that aids restaurant owners in creating efficient labor plans balancing profitability, employee scheduling needs, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead collaboration among developers, product managers, and designers to develop compelling Scheduling features aimed at expanding our customer base and enhancing employee engagement within restaurants.
• Leverage full-stack development expertise to translate ambiguous business objectives into high-quality, production-ready code in a cooperative team setting.
• Promote engineering best practices by improving code quality across teams and mentoring engineers through code pairing, reviews, and project evaluations to elevate technical standards.
• Contribute actively to product design discussions and feature prioritization.

Required Qualifications

• More than 8 years of experience in backend or full-stack software development resulting in impactful product delivery.
• Strong proficiency with modern API design, including TypeScript, REST, and GraphQL, and familiarity with relational databases or alternative data storage solutions such as PostgreSQL or DynamoDB.
• Expertise in designing high-level technical solutions while maintaining hands-on involvement with code and system performance.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical colleagues and product leadership.
• Adaptability to work effectively amidst ambiguity, agile methodologies, and iterative software delivery.
• Experience and passion for mentoring team members.
• High customer empathy, striving to enhance user experience and product quality continuously.
