Core Teams and Focus Areas
- Log Analytics: Addresses large-scale log analysis challenges involving data processing, indexing, and user experience for petabyte-scale logs in real time.
- AI/BI: Revolutionizing business intelligence with AI-driven dashboarding, visualization, and conversational data insights, gaining rapid customer adoption.
- Unity Catalog Business Semantics: Developing governance and context management systems for enterprise data, working at the intersection of distributed systems, data modeling, and AI enablement.
- Databricks Apps: Innovating on platform components like Kubernetes, networking, and app runtime, while building AI-powered app builder agents, supporting a growing user base and thousands of applications.
Role Expectations
The position entails contributing to Databricks' mission with long-term vision execution, delivering incremental features focused on adding customer value and impact.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, relevant technical fields, or equivalent practical experience.
- More than ten years of professional experience developing production-grade software primarily using Java, Scala, or C++.
- Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures with practical application knowledge.
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems and working within SaaS platforms or service-oriented architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with security practices and systems handling sensitive data.
- Proficiency with SQL querying.
Compensation and Benefits
The Canadian salary range for this role is $173,400 to $238,350 CAD. Candidates’ final compensation will be tailored based on skills, experience, certifications, and location.
