Job description

About Faire

Faire is a wholesale technology platform dedicated to empowering local communities by connecting independent retailers worldwide through innovative tech, data, and machine learning. We serve a vast, historically fragmented wholesale market, helping boutiques access exceptional products to grow their businesses with data-driven tools and insights.

Role Overview

As Staff Product Manager for Marketplace Quality, you will lead initiatives critical to brand success on our platform by enhancing the quality of experience retailers receive and the trust that drives repeat business. Your focus begins with pricing strategies—offering brands accessible, competitive pricing tools and margin clarity—and extends to setting broader quality standards that influence retailers' buying decisions and foster long-term marketplace growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define comprehensive marketplace quality strategy by understanding both brand and retailer needs, developing metrics, interventions, and balancing economic outcomes with trust and growth.
  • Manage end-to-end quality roadmap, including pricing intelligence tools, brand quality signals for retailers, and standards enforcement.
  • Develop brand-centric products such as pricing management interfaces, smart recommendations, and performance analytics that enable brand growth.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to establish robust data infrastructure supporting pricing and quality insights at scale.
  • Evaluate tradeoffs and investment priorities using data-driven analysis; communicate clear strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 8 years in product roles within fast-growing startups, as a founder, or in leading tech companies.
  • Proven success in setting direction within ambiguous domains, capable of prioritizing impactful initiatives.
  • Strong ability to deeply understand customer needs and behavioral drivers, even when customers themselves lack clarity.
  • Inspirational leadership skills with enthusiasm for customer-centric product development and team collaboration.
  • Rapid learning capability with strong intellectual curiosity and adaptability to new domains.
  • Persistent and resourceful, effective at executing under uncertainty and limited information.
  • Creative problem-solver skilled at discovering non-obvious solutions to complex challenges.
  • Passionate, positive, and optimistic personality fostering team morale.
  • Committed to delivering outstanding customer experiences through thoughtful product design.

Compensation and Work Model

The position offers a salary range of $220,000 to $302,500 annually in San Francisco, CA, inclusive of equity and comprehensive benefits. Base pay is adjusted based on transferable skills, experience, location, and market demand. While primarily remote, hybrid employees currently attend office three days weekly with some remote flexibility.

Why Join Faire

  • Ownership of impactful problems with clear customer impact and agility to innovate.
  • Access to cutting-edge enterprise AI and tools enhancing productivity.
  • Collaborate with talented, supportive, and skilled colleagues.
