Role Overview

The Staff Product Manager for Billing plays a crucial role in owning the vision, strategy, and delivery of Perk's billing platform, a strategic component fundamental to expanding into new markets and scaling operations globally. This role involves transforming complex financial challenges such as international tax compliance and AI-driven invoice data extraction into efficient and scalable products that enhance customer trust and company competitiveness. You will lead cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver intuitive financial solutions that empower finance teams to manage expenses, cards, and invoices seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Spend ecosystem within Perk.
• Drive rapid, data-informed execution, leveraging customer feedback, market insights, and AI innovations to make bold product decisions.
• Create user-centric, streamlined product experiences by balancing customer needs with technological possibilities.
• Facilitate the management of expenses and invoices for millions of users and finance teams worldwide.
• Accelerate development cycles through rapid prototyping using AI tools such as Claude and Cursor.
• Remain engaged with AI research and emerging trends to creatively integrate relevant advancements into Perk's products.
• Provide servant leadership to empower teams by maintaining focus, enabling creativity, and fostering collaboration.

Candidate Qualifications

• Extensive experience in technology companies as a Product Manager, with prior involvement in tax-related products highly desirable.
• Foundational knowledge of finance operations, including accounting reconciliation.
• Strong empathy for customers and expertise in design thinking, particularly regarding the complete expense lifecycle and complex accounting workflows.
• Proficiency in using data to guide product decision-making and prioritization.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing small teams of engineers and designers towards shared objectives.
• Effective collaboration skills with diverse internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for AI demonstrated through hands-on experience in building or prototyping AI projects and keeping abreast of latest research and tools.
• Experience with modern prototyping and design tools such as Cursor, Bolt, Claude Code, Figma, and Git.
