Job description
About Commonsku
Commonsku is transforming the $26 billion promotional products sector by providing a platform that enables branded merchandise distributors to efficiently manage projects, create quotes, place orders, and collaborate seamlessly with clients and suppliers via a Connected Workflow. Our team works remotely with a community-focused approach, emphasizing customer elevation, innovation, and a strong team culture guided by our values: Community First, Ten Steps Ahead, Fast Forward, and Delightful Work.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead our AI Agents and Intelligence domain. This pivotal role involves steering the strategy, roadmap, and execution for commonsku's intelligence products, particularly focusing on our agent platform. You'll work closely with Engineering, Design, and customer-facing teams to innovate distributor workflows and shape the product’s future.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 12-18 month AI product strategy that aligns with evolving AI trends.
- Take complete ownership of the in-app agent platform, including Skubot, capability catalog, agent permissions, and public API surfaces.
- Design and optimize AI monetization strategies such as credit pricing, packaging plans, and managing overage to maximize value and labor displacement.
- Implement analytics to measure product performance, including LLM observability (e.g., token usage, traces) and monitor adoption rates.
- Lead discovery processes and ensure safe, trustworthy delivery of agent write-actions incorporating confirmation flows and audit trails.
- Bridge product requirements with engineering and design by crafting clear PRDs and collaborating closely on development details.
- Engage regularly with users through discovery calls, feedback sessions, and adoption reviews to maintain strong customer focus.
- Manage the broader Intelligence product backlog, including reporting, CRM, mockups, and notifications while balancing priorities.
- Communicate progress, economics, and trade-offs internally and externally; advocate for AI agent capabilities within the company and community.
Qualifications
- Over 6 years of relevant product management experience, ideally delivering AI-powered agents, LLM features, APIs, or intricate technical products.
- Proficient in quantitative analysis, AI concepts, usage-based monetization, LLM monitoring, and product analytics tools like SQL, Metabase, or Fullstory.
- Ability to independently formulate and champion a clear product vision translating into actionable engineering guidance and measurable business impact.
- Comfortable working autonomously and asynchronously while valuing collaboration and interpersonal connections.
- Experience or enthusiasm for AI technology, with bonus points for familiarity with LLM observability tools (e.g., Langfuse), continuous delivery, or agent safety designs such as human-in-the-loop and confirmation protocols.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is CAD 150,000 to CAD 180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, plus a 15% yearly performance-based bonus. Typically, new hires start near the midpoint of this range, but we are open to discussions regarding candidates whose expectations differ and align well with the role.
- Remote-first work environment with occasional in-person opportunities.
- Company-wide office closure annually between December 25 and January 1.
- Comprehensive health and dental benefits including a $1,000 healthcare spending account.
- RRSP/TFSA contributions up to $3,000 per year without employee financial input.
- Biannual company-wide summits for team engagement (referred to as HQ).
- A collaborative team of highly skilled professionals committed to excellence.
Location and Eligibility
This position is open to candidates authorized to work in Canada, except residents of Quebec, due to operational constraints. Although the role is remote-first, being located in Toronto, where commonsku's headquarters is based, is preferred.
