Job description

About V7 and the Product

At V7, our goal is to develop AI platforms that empower people to perform their best work swiftly and effectively. We aim to translate human expertise into reliable AI, simplifying intricate tasks for greater speed, intelligence, and precision. Our team is rapidly expanding with support from leading AI visionaries and investors.

Our flagship product, V7 Go, is designed to streamline document-centric operations for finance and insurance teams. It automates workflows traditionally consuming hours of effort, integrates a Context Graph to make collective team knowledge accessible across workflows and documents, and includes chat functionalities for non-standard questions. The platform supports multiple data types and delivers outputs that are both verifiable and transparent, leveraging cutting-edge models like GPT, Claude, and Gemini.

Role and Impact

As a Staff Product Manager, you will have full ownership of the V7 Go product, collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and founders. The product has seen significant growth, increasing revenue fourfold last year with over 160% upsell, processing tens of millions of documents for sectors including finance, insurance, and real estate. Your decisions will shape the product’s future direction.

The product serves diverse user groups and functions, requiring clear vision and decisiveness about what to prioritize and what to exclude. With a small, agile product team, you will take initiative to address issues or gaps directly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing developments and delivering continuous improvements rather than batch releases.
  • Evaluate which challenges to tackle, balancing inputs from sales, customers, and strategic bets.
  • Define success criteria before development starts and measure adoption and impact post-launch.
  • Make informed trade-offs about feature inclusion, quality levels, and justify these decisions to stakeholders.
  • Document decisions, trade-offs, and rationale clearly to maintain alignment across the team.
  • Ensure a seamless and coherent experience across workflows, the Context Graph, and chat features, emphasizing self-service usability without the need for explanation.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience owning a product end-to-end in an environment with a strong product culture, such as startups.
  • Experience leading product discovery through to launch, not just managing backlogs.
  • Background building products for expert users who have deep domain knowledge, particularly in B2B SaaS, fintech, insurtech, developer tools, or data platforms.
  • Hands-on familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and agent technologies, able to distinguish product value from demos and understand their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Capable of technical conversations with engineering teams about trade-offs without requiring translation.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Holds strong opinions but is open-minded and adaptable.

Inclusion Statement

V7 is committed to diversity and inclusion, believing that diverse teams create better products. If you don’t meet every criterion, you are still encouraged to apply. The Talent team offers support throughout the hiring process to accommodate your needs.
