Staff Nurse

Role Overview

Rama Medical College is looking for a dedicated Staff Nurse to deliver holistic nursing care adhering to established hospital procedures. The nurse will play a critical role in monitoring patient health, administering treatments, and supporting medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care as outlined by hospital standards and protocols.
• Track and document vital signs and clinical states of patients continuously.
• Administer prescribed medications, injections, IV fluids, and therapeutic procedures with accuracy.
• Assist physicians during clinical exams, interventions, and urgent emergency responses.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
• Observe patients pre- and post-procedures and promptly communicate any changes.
• Adhere strictly to infection control measures and maintain cleanliness within the care environment.
• Manage nursing equipment and ensure the readiness and availability of essential medical supplies.
• Provide comprehensive shift handovers to incoming nursing personnel.
• Educate patients and caregivers on medications, treatment guidelines, nutritional plans, hygiene practices, and discharge protocols.
• Comply with hospital policies, nursing standards, patient safety procedures, and legal requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with medical staff including doctors, fellow nurses, laboratory personnel, pharmacists, and other departments.
• Respond promptly and effectively during emergencies and participate actively in emergency response activities.
• Maintain patient privacy and uphold professional nursing ethics at all times.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving patient care quality and satisfaction.

Candidate Profile and Preferences

• Prior experience as a Staff Nurse in hospitals, medical colleges, or multispecialty healthcare institutions is desirable.
• Recent graduates with the relevant qualifications and valid nursing registration are welcome to apply.
• Possess robust clinical skills and demonstrated dedication to patient care.
• Strong communication capabilities and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Capability to work in rotational shifts, including night duties.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and handle critical situations calmly.
• Approach must be compassionate, disciplined, responsible, and patient-focused.
• Basic proficiency with computers and familiarity with hospital information systems will be advantageous.

Eligibility and Educational Requirements
