Our Intelligent System Design approach integrates software, hardware, and intellectual property to transform concepts into tangible electronic products for markets including consumer electronics, hyperscale computing, 5G, automotive, aerospace, industrial, and healthcare.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Staff Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage our worldwide enterprise network spanning data centers, campuses, and WAN environments. This senior role demands a hands-on approach with a focus on secure, reliable connectivity and leadership in high-impact projects that yield measurable results. The engineer will closely collaborate with IT and Security teams, overseeing complex network transitions from design through operational maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, resilient network infrastructures across data centers and campuses utilizing equipment from Cisco, Arista, HPE, and Aruba.
- Manage WAN operations, including Internet edge and SD-WAN solutions, maintaining consistent routing protocols and security standards.
- Drive complex troubleshooting initiatives, root-cause investigations, and introduce preventive measures to minimize system disruptions.
- Collaborate across multiple technology domains such as Data Center, Storage, Virtualization, Windows, Unix, Cloud Operations, and Security to guide technical strategies and execute cross-functional projects.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational runbooks to ensure supportability and readiness.
- Transition solutions into daily operational mode, including the setup of monitoring, alerting systems, capacity planning, lifecycle, and change management.
- Provide clear communication on project status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders, managing multiple concurrent initiatives effectively.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 12 to 15 years’ experience in enterprise network architecture, design, deployment, and operations covering data center, campus, WAN, and hybrid cloud networks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Mandatory Cisco certification, with CCNP preferred and CCIE considered a significant advantage.
- Proven expertise in configuring and managing enterprise networks using routing and switching protocols like BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, alongside high-availability features such as MLAG/vPC and LACP.
- Robust understanding of network security including segmentation, access control lists, firewall integration, and secure remote access, developed through close cooperation with Security professionals.
- Hands-on familiarity with Network Access Control (NAC) and AAA solutions, like Cisco ISE and Aruba ClearPass.
- Strong problem-solving ability in handling complex network issues, incident response, and enforcing disciplined risk, change, and lifecycle management.
- Experience designing networks that are operationally optimized, incorporating monitoring, alerting, capacity forecasting, and thorough documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts into business-friendly language for executive audiences.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with SD-WAN design, operations, and hybrid connectivity models.
- Knowledge of Cisco VPN, F5 load balancers, or comparable technologies.
- Familiarity with network automation, telemetry, observability tools, or scripting aimed at enhancing reliability and decreasing mean time to repair.
Benefits
- Competitive salary package.
- Annual entitlement of 25 days holidays.
- Private healthcare coverage and life insurance.
- Group personal pension scheme.
- Cycle to work program and gym membership subsidy.
- Five paid volunteer days annually to support community causes.
