Staff Engineer - RTL Design

About the Role

Join Qualcomm India Pvt Ltd as a Staff Engineer specializing in RTL design within the Hardware Engineering team. This role demands deep expertise in logic design, micro-architecture, and RTL coding for complex System on Chip (SoC) designs and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement logic and micro-architectural RTL coding actively contributing to SoC projects.
• Hands-on work with complex SoC designs integrating various components and protocols.
• Employ Verilog and SystemVerilog extensively in design tasks.
• Utilize knowledge of AMBA protocols including AXI, AHB, and APB, along with SoC clocking, reset, debug architectures, and peripherals such as USB, PCIe, and SDCC.
• Collaborate closely with verification and validation teams to support pre- and post-silicon debugging activities.
• Develop and apply constraints ensuring successful timing closure.
• Engage with low power SoC designs and multi-clock as well as asynchronous interface architectures.
• Contribute to ASIC synthesis understanding timing concepts and use ASIC development tools such as Lint, CDC, Design Compiler, and PrimeTime.
• Added advantages include knowledge of memory controller designs, microprocessors, pad ring creation, and chip-level floorplanning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field with 4+ years experience; or
• Master's degree with 3+ years experience; or
• PhD with 2+ years experience in hardware engineering or closely related work; additionally, candidates should have over 10 years total industry experience.
