Role Overview

Join our Engineering team that supports Faire's marketplace infrastructure. The Platform group facilitates various company functions—Product Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Strategy, Finance—by providing robust infrastructure enabling fast, high-quality software development. We prioritize strong engineering practices, developer experience, security, maintainability, scalability, availability, and performance.

This senior technical leadership position centers on experimentation infrastructure. The role collaborates across teams such as product, analytics, data science, and strategy, shaping and driving the experimentation technology roadmap while balancing strategic leadership with hands-on engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a comprehensive strategy for experimentation and measurement spanning the entire company.
• Create and maintain a centralized experimentation platform roadmap based on Eppo and integrated with Faire’s data ecosystem, addressing measurement frameworks, experiment lifecycle management, governance, self-service tools, and standards for experiment design and result interpretation.
• Collaborate closely with Strategy & Analytics, Product Management, Data Science, and other key stakeholders reliant on experimentation infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven extensive software engineering background focused on experimentation infrastructure, analytics systems, and product development.
• Experience designing, implementing, and scaling experimentation platforms, particularly within SaaS, marketplace, or e-commerce contexts.
• Profound knowledge of A/B testing, multivariate testing, feature rollout, and progressive delivery methodologies.
• Strong aptitude for translating business goals into robust experimentation and measurement capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with commercial or open-source experimentation platforms, with Eppo familiarity highly advantageous.
• In-depth understanding of experiment lifecycle and associated methodologies.
• Track record of cross-disciplinary collaboration ensuring methodological rigor and reliable decision-making.
• Strong expertise with modern data platforms; experience with Snowflake and Databricks is particularly valued.
• Knowledge of data quality and observability tools, particularly Anomalo.
• Advanced SQL skills and ability to design scalable analytical models.
• Experience with technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, Spark, Python, and Kotlin.

Compensation and Work Arrangements

Located in Canada, this role offers an annual salary range of $190,500 to $262,000, complemented by equity options and comprehensive benefits. The exact compensation will reflect experience, skills, market conditions, and primary work location. This role is remote but hybrid employees currently attend office three days weekly with flexible in-office scheduling and limited remote work options.
