We are seeking a seasoned AI Scientist to join our AI, Research, and Futures division. This person will play a crucial role in building and deploying foundational AI technologies that create innovative customer experiences and help speed up the rollout of these advances across Intuit’s platforms and products.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Intuit’s multi-year AI strategy by incubating and advancing emerging technologies and capabilities.
• Design and implement comprehensive solutions showcasing cutting-edge AI research applications that revolutionize user experiences.
• Develop fast prototypes and scale successful concepts into robust, production-ready systems managing massive data and serving hundreds of millions of users.
• Work closely with business units and platform teams to expedite the evaluation and launch of new AI technologies and capabilities.
• Maintain strict standards of data quality, model assessment, and lifecycle oversight through systematic monitoring, testing, and retraining practices.
• Implement responsible AI methodologies ensuring model fairness, transparency, and reliability.
• Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team to nurture a culture of innovation, scientific excellence, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

• MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics specializing in AI or Machine Learning.
• Profound technical expertise in AI areas such as training large language models, reasoning models, multi-modal models with applications like forecasting and planning, decision-making under uncertainty, multi-objective optimization, learning from human feedback, data cognition, and deep personalization.
• Research experience evidenced by publications in top journals or conferences is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience designing and deploying AI solutions that tackle complex customer problems or enable radically new capabilities.
• Ability to transform business needs into tangible prototypes using programming languages such as Python and modeling frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with competence to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Preferred experience with machine learning systems on cloud infrastructures including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong foundation in computer science and data science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, data analysis, model training, A/B testing, and MLOps.
