Overview

Our collaborative teams span departments such as Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Events, Communications, Public Relations, Finance, Legal, and Operations alongside external partners to create impactful sponsorship initiatives that benefit sponsors, audiences, partners, and the organization alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute sponsorship strategies aligned with corporate, commercial, marketing, and brand goals.
  • Set sponsorship goals, partnership frameworks, revenue targets, and annual plans.
  • Identify potential sponsors including brands, corporations, institutions, and commercial bodies.
  • Conduct research on target sectors, competitors, market trends, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Build and sustain a robust sponsorship prospect list and pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain strong relations with prospects and existing sponsors.
  • Identify opportunities across various channels such as events, campaigns, digital, communities, and products.
  • Create sponsorship packages, rights catalogs, commercial proposals, and partnership structures.
  • Design tailored sponsorship proposals, presentations, and commercial offers.
  • Define sponsorship benefits like branding, hospitality, digital content, activations, and engagement opportunities.
  • Customize sponsorship offers to meet unique sponsor objectives and marketing strategies.
  • Lead sponsor outreach including meetings, presentations, negotiation, and follow-ups.
  • Oversee the sponsorship sales pipeline from lead to contract completion.
  • Track opportunities, proposals, negotiations, revenue forecasts and actions.
  • Collaborate internally to prepare proposals and presentations for commercial approval.
  • Work with Marketing, Communications, Events, and Operations to implement sponsor visibility and activation plans.
  • Manage the delivery of agreed sponsorship assets and benefits within timelines.
  • Oversee sponsor branding across multiple platforms and channels.
  • Coordinate sponsor hospitality, VIP programs, and guest experiences.
  • Ensure full compliance with brand, legal, regulatory, and contractual standards.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, fees, exclusivity, renewals, and payment schedules.
  • Partner with Legal and Finance teams on agreement finalization, invoicing, payments, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, assets, approvals, invoices, and communications.
  • Measure and report sponsorship performance relative to objectives.
  • Analyze metrics such as exposure, engagement, digital performance, and ROI.
  • Drive renewal, retention, and expansion strategies for sponsorships.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and innovative sponsorship models.
  • Manage external agencies and suppliers ensuring service and delivery standards.
  • Implement standard processes, templates, governance, and use CRM systems for pipeline management.
  • Provide leadership with regular updates on sponsorship status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to enhance sponsorship effectiveness and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in sponsorship, partnerships, commercial sales, business development, event marketing, brand partnerships, or account management within sectors including events, sports, entertainment, media, hospitality, lifestyle, technology, retail, or large corporations. Key traits include:

  • Expertise in sponsorship strategy and commercial partnership development.
  • Proven track record in sponsorship sales and pipeline management.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Experience creating compelling sponsorship proposals and commercial plans.
  • Understanding of marketing strategies, brand positioning, and audience engagement.
  • Account management experience sustaining long-term sponsor relationships.
  • Knowledge of event, media, digital, and experiential sponsorship activations.
  • Ability to coordinate activation delivery across multiple stakeholders.
  • Commercial and financial acumen regarding pricing, revenue, margins, and ROI.
  • Experience handling contracts, invoices, budgets, and performance analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate sponsorship efficacy.
