Overview

Newcastle Speech Pathology offers an opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to work primarily from their Kurri Kurri clinic in the Hunter Valley, with at least one day per week at the Cooks Hill clinic in Newcastle. The role involves providing speech pathology services to both paediatric and adult clients across clinical and community settings. • Competitive total remuneration between $100,000 to $110,000 annually.

Work Environment

The team consists of seven experienced clinicians providing ongoing support, second opinions, resource sharing, and assistance with client communications. The service models and resources, including assessment templates and report frameworks, have been developed over 14 years, ensuring a well-structured clinical environment. Leadership includes a director with over 32 years of practice who actively engages in client work and supervises the team.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology or an equivalent qualification recognized by Speech Pathology Australia.
• Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment to seek support as needed.
• About one to two years of clinical experience preferred, though candidates nearing this experience level are encouraged to apply.
