Position Overview
We are seeking a Specification Manager for our Christchurch location to join a high-performing regional team. Reporting to the Branch Manager and integrating into the national Specification and Technical team, this role offers autonomy in role management while having full support to achieve deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue project opportunities involving specification of Comfortech’s commercial interior products and systems, including ceiling, wall, and insulation solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong professional connections with architects and designers throughout the South Island.
- Collaborate with the National Business Development Manager and engage main contractors, developers, and other industry stakeholders to facilitate effective delivery of specified solutions.
- Partner with the Technical team and suppliers to provide expert technical assistance and solutions, enhancing customer experience.
- Deliver product and system presentations to architects and designers, supplying detailed technical support and information.
- Work closely with the sales team to convert leads generated into successful sales outcomes.
Applicant Profile
- Experience or strong interest in the interior fit-out, design, and architectural construction sector, supported by relevant design or construction qualification, or desire to transition into this field.
- Proactive networking capabilities with confidence in establishing and nurturing new industry relationships.
- Familiarity with sales planning, budgeting, and operational finance processes.
- Ability to comprehend customer business needs and tailor relevant solutions accordingly.
- Effective communicator across all organizational levels, providing clear and accurate product information.
- Strong group presentation skills demonstrated by confidence and clarity.
- Self-motivated, persistent, and collaborative team player.
