Job description
Role Overview
We are excited to offer a position within the Plain Film X-Ray Imaging department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, part of University Hospitals Tees. This Band 6 Diagnostic Radiographer role involves working alongside an experienced radiography team offering services in plain film x-ray, dental imaging including cone beam CT, theatre services, and access to specialist modalities such as ultrasound (US), CT, MRI, and interventional radiology including fluoroscopy.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will act as a role model for embodying our Trust's values through leadership qualities and will be dedicated to delivering patient-centered, high-quality healthcare. The role primarily supports the Plain Film services within South Tees NHS Foundation Trust and includes participation in the James Cook Plain Film roster. While employed by South Tees NHS Foundation Trust, there will be opportunities and expectations for collaborative work across the Tees Valley region as needed.
Development and Environment
Our Radiology department promotes ongoing professional development and role advancement. The department currently includes over 30 Advanced Practitioners with expertise in various specializations such as fluoroscopy/interventional radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and radiographer reporting for plain film imaging.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the largest hospital trust in the Tees Valley, with two main acute hospitals and several community facilities. It is nationally recognized for service quality, serving as a regional Major trauma centre featuring 24-hour acute admissions and specialist care in areas such as cancer, neurosciences, vascular surgery, spinal injuries, cardiology, and renal medicine.
