Specialist – Information Technology (Oracle EBS OAF Function)

About the Role

The Sanad Group is looking for a skilled Oracle EBS OAF Specialist to design, customize, maintain, and support Oracle E-Business Suite applications utilizing the Oracle Application Framework. The successful candidate will enhance Oracle EBS solutions by developing OAF pages, JSP components, and RICEW objects, ensuring solid application performance, system reliability, data accuracy, and compliance with Oracle standards and IT governance policies.

This role involves close collaboration with functional consultants and business stakeholders to transform approved business and functional requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite applications through Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
• Develop and support OAF-related components such as pages, JSP elements, controllers, application modules, and view objects, enhancing user interface functionality.
• Design, develop, and maintain RICEW components including reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and workflows.
• Implement authorized personalizations and customizations within OAF while maintaining core Oracle functionality.
• Adhere strictly to Oracle EBS architectural standards, best coding practices, development methodologies, version control, and IT governance.
• Engage in code reviews and pursue ongoing improvements in coding quality and practices.
• Work closely with functional teams and stakeholders to analyze requirements and draft technical specifications and designs for enhancements and system integrations.
• Evaluate technical impact, dependencies, risks, and constraints related to system changes, recommending maintainable and compliant solutions.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support for incidents related to OAF, JSP, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, web services, and related components.
• Conduct root cause analysis on recurring defects and performance problems, implementing corrective actions and escalating as necessary.
• Monitor and enhance performance across OAF modules, application code, database queries, and system integrations; identify bottlenecks and apply remediation strategies.
• Assist in Oracle EBS patching, upgrades, migrations, and enhancements while ensuring system stability through post-implementation verifications.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation including technical specs, test scripts, deployment guidelines, and user manuals.
• Participate in unit and system testing, support integration and user acceptance testing, and aid deployment and migration efforts.
• Collaborate effectively with internal IT departments, business units, consultants, and external vendors, providing consistent project updates.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Oracle E-Business Suite Technical Certification is advantageous.
• Additional certifications in Java, Oracle Databases, Application Development, or integration technologies are beneficial.

Experience:

• Between 5 to 7 years of experience in technical Oracle E-Business Suite development and support.
• At least 3 years of practical hands-on experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
• Proficiency in Java, JSP, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, web services, and Oracle EBS technologies.
• Expertise in development and support of RICEW components.
• Familiarity with Oracle EBS modules such as Inventory, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Projects.
• Knowledge of Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (CMRO) and experience in aviation or MRO industries is a plus.
