Role Summary
The Specialist Driver is tasked with the secure and punctual transportation of food products to assigned destinations within Dubai. Key duties involve loading and unloading goods, confirming delivery paperwork, maintaining the vehicle's cleanliness, and adhering strictly to traffic and safety rules. The position requires ongoing communication with dispatch and warehouse teams, timely reporting of any delivery delays or complications, and conducting routine vehicle inspections such as checking fuel levels, tire pressure, and overall condition. This is a full-time position located on-site in Dubai, demanding dependability, professionalism, and dedication to customer satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Possess a valid UAE commercial driving license and maintain a clean driving record compliant with all traffic and safety laws.
- Prior experience in delivery driving, logistics, or transportation services within Dubai or the UAE region.
- Capable of managing physical activities including loading/unloading and ensuring cargo is safely secured for transit.
- Fundamental knowledge of vehicle maintenance inspections and the ability to promptly identify and report mechanical issues.
- Effective communication abilities to coordinate with dispatch teams, warehouse personnel, and customers; basic proficiency in English is desirable.
- Excellent time management, reliability, and meticulous attention to delivery documentation and route planning.
- Adherence to company policies, food safety protocols, and hygiene standards throughout the delivery process.
- Experience in the food sector or dealing with temperature-controlled products is considered beneficial.
- High school education or equivalent preferred, but relevant work experience may compensate.
