About the Role
Soul Centre Ltd., located in Toronto, Ontario, requires a dependable and detail-conscious cleaner to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and a welcoming atmosphere at their natural therapy spa. This position is focused strictly on hands-on cleaning tasks; prior spa experience is not necessary as training will be provided. The role excludes sales and treatment duties. Courtesy and kindness towards clients are expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Sanitize spa tubs after each client, clean treatment rooms, restrooms, workstations, and high-touch surfaces.
- Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming of rugs as required, clean glass surfaces, empty trash and recycling bins, and replenish restroom supplies.
- Handle washing, drying, folding and restocking of towels and linens, ensuring separation of clean and soiled laundry.
- Carry out scheduled deep cleaning tasks, adhere to product instructions, use protective gear, and report any supply shortages or hazards.
- Independently manage assigned daily duties, adjust to shifting priorities, and aid in café cleaning after spa tasks are finished.
- Maintain client privacy and secure keys, access devices, and retail goods.
Candidate Requirements
- Preferred minimum one year of general cleaning experience; no spa experience needed.
- Must have reliable transport, punctuality, and availability during weekdays; additional paid hours may be arranged.
- Ability to perform routine restroom cleaning, laundry, and other practical cleaning activities, follow instructions carefully, and work safely, with accommodations if necessary.
- Possess honesty, meticulous attention to detail, and a professional, respectful attitude.
Training and Dress Code
The employer provides training, cleaning tools, supplies, standard protective equipment, and branded black T-shirts. Employees should wear comfortable black attire and closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes. Natural cleaning agents will be used where feasible, while chemical disinfectants are required for some tasks.
Work Details
- Location: 474 College Street, Suite 401, Toronto, ON M6G 1A4
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with weekends off.
- Hours: 30 paid hours per week, consisting of 6 paid hours daily plus a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
- Compensation: $19.00 per hour.
- Start Date: Immediate or September 8, 2026, depending on agreement.
