Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site Sous Chef role based in Qatar. The position works closely with the Head Chef to oversee day-to-day kitchen activity, support service quality, and help keep operations running efficiently in a busy environment.

Key Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in coordinating all kitchen functions.
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure dishes are produced to a consistently high standard.
  • Monitor food presentation so every plate meets the restaurant’s quality expectations.
  • Support compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene requirements.
  • Contribute ideas for menu updates, refinements, and creative dish development.
  • Help train kitchen team members and strengthen overall staff performance.
  • Track inventory levels and support stock management to reduce shortages and waste.
  • Maintain efficient kitchen workflow to ensure smooth service during peak periods.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on culinary ability, including food preparation, cooking methods, and ingredient knowledge.
  • Experience in managing kitchen operations and supporting team coordination.
  • Ability to train and guide kitchen staff effectively.
  • Solid understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Creative approach to menu development and visual food presentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Clear communication and confident leadership qualities.
  • Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or in a closely related role is necessary.
  • A culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institute is an advantage.
