About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sourcing and Procurement Engineer to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize procurement operations, and achieve cost efficiency and quality improvements. The role requires extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams and management of global supplier relationships within the Electric Vehicle (EV) and automotive sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement strategic sourcing plans aimed at improving procurement efficiency and cost reduction.
- Oversee global sourcing activities including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance assessment.
- Work closely with various internal teams to recognize and execute process improvements enhancing operational efficiency.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to guide purchasing strategies.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and relevant industry standards.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least 10 years of professional experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor development roles.
- Minimum 10 years of expertise specifically within the Electric Vehicle or automotive industry.
- Proven experience working with Tier-1 and Tier-2 automotive suppliers.
- Comprehensive understanding of costing and zero-based costing processes.
- Prior involvement with sourcing for new product development is considered a strong advantage.
