Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Understand and approach songwriting as a refined art form and craft.
- Compose lyrics that naturally complement pre-existing melodies.
- Apply a solid grasp of poetic meter, syllable counting, phrasing, and rhythmic timing within songwriting.
- Ensure that lyrics integrate seamlessly with musical arrangements.
- Create lyrical lines that are easy to sing, memorable, and emotionally impactful.
- Demonstrate knowledge of rhyme schemes, internal rhymes, lyrical flow, and song structure.
- Adapt brand messaging and language authentically into song form.
- Maintain careful attention to the detailed relationship between words, melody, and musical phrasing.
Experience
Prior work in crafting corporate anthems, jingles, film songs, advertising music, or commercial songwriting will add significant value to applicants.
