Job description
About Nooks.ai
Nooks.ai is an applied artificial intelligence laboratory focused on building an Agent Workspace for go-to-market (GTM) teams. We design AI agents that assist throughout the entire sales process, including account strategy, prospect research, and outreach. Our mission is to amplify the productivity of salespeople by automating routine tasks, enabling them to concentrate on closing deals. Currently, over 1,500 customers such as Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling rely on Nooks. Having secured over $70 million in funding from leading venture capitalists like Kleiner Perkins, we have consistently tripled our annual recurring revenue each year for three consecutive years and expanded our talented team to transform sales into a scalable science.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Founding Solutions Engineer for our EMEA region, based primarily in Dublin with possibilities for remote work across the UK or Ireland. At Nooks, our Agent Workspace empowers sales representatives and AI agents to collaboratively decide next steps with intelligence that evolves over time. Our team has experienced rapid growth, and the Solutions Engineer (SE) function significantly contributes to business success, with SE-assisted deals closing nearly six times more often than unsupported ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical sales cycle across multiple opportunities in EMEA, from discovery and demonstrations through trials and deal closure, ensuring progression to decision-making.
- Collaborate with the founding EMEA GTM team, including Account Executives and regional leaders, to develop territory strategies, engage customers, and define technical approaches that secure early wins.
- Develop and customize a Solutions Engineer operational model tailored to EMEA, including discovery frameworks, demo presentations, trial plans, success criteria, and handoff procedures aligned with regional customer demands and purchasing processes.
- Translate technical discovery into business impact by understanding underlying pain points and framing solutions around executive priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Manage prospect trials as the primary technical liaison, establishing clear evaluation frameworks, tracking trial progress, identifying risks promptly, and intervening proactively to protect deal integrity.
- Oversee complex customer evaluations by coordinating internal expertise on integrations, security, data privacy, and procurement, ensuring customer alignment on a feasible path.
- Create reusable operational materials, document successful practices, and introduce automation to amplify team capacity in managing opportunities efficiently.
- Serve as a bridge between EMEA field teams and Product by conveying recurring customer needs, competitive intelligence, and trial outcomes to inform product development and global SE efforts.
- Contribute to shaping the growth of the EMEA SE team by formalizing regional playbooks and assisting in onboarding and training new team members.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in quota-bearing or technical sales roles such as Account Executive, Solutions Engineer, or hybrid positions, with responsibility over the pre-sales lifecycle.
- Familiarity with supporting customers across EMEA, including understanding regional buying behaviors, stakeholder interactions, and managing technical assessments.
- Demonstrated capability to create, test, and refine sales processes autonomously, even in the absence of established playbooks.
- A sales-oriented mindset that views trials as vital pipelines, prioritizes winning metrics, and drives urgency based on authentic customer priorities.
- Proficiency in engaging senior executives (CROs, CTOs, VPs of Sales) and independently conducting discovery sessions or business reviews.
- Strong technical acumen and curiosity, with the ability to connect system components, independently resolve unfamiliar requirements, and close knowledge gaps.
- Exceptional discovery skills, questioning requirements to understand root causes before proposing solutions.
- Good judgment in balancing active deals with foundational work, knowing when to act independently versus collaborating with global partners.
- A proactive attitude comfortable handling ambiguous and undocumented tasks as the inaugural SE in the region.
- Experience in early regional expansion or founding team roles is advantageous, as is knowledge of enterprise sales methodologies like MEDDIC or MEDDPICC.
