Job description

Company Overview

Quvia is a pioneering AI-powered quality of experience (QoE) management platform designed for mobile assets such as ships and aircraft. It revolutionizes connectivity and digital experiences even in the most isolated locations by integrating diverse connectivity sources into a unified, vendor-neutral environment. Using AI and machine learning, Quvia delivers comprehensive analytics and dynamic network orchestration to optimize QoE and end-user satisfaction. The company partners with leading Fortune 500 clients in aviation, cruise, and shipping sectors.

About the Role

The Solutions Engineer acts as a vital link between customers and Quvia's engineering and operations teams. This role involves evaluating customer networks, capturing technical requirements and challenges, and translating them into tailored solution designs with quantifiable business outcomes. Responsibilities span from initial qualification through proof of concept (POC) to full production deployment. A strong foundation in terrestrial and satellite networking, software-defined networking (SDN), multi-vendor SD-WAN technologies, scripting, and DevOps is essential, alongside the ability to assess and apply emerging technologies to scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to analyze customer networks, identify needs and challenges, and develop customized solution designs that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Architect, test, and implement multi-path traffic orchestration systems across satellite and terrestrial networks using Quvia and integrated third-party products, configuring customer profiles at edge locations, cloud, and datacenters.
  • Lead end-to-end POC initiatives by defining success metrics, specifying necessary hardware, managing installations, configuring, testing, troubleshooting with customers and internal teams, and ensuring seamless transition to production.
  • Utilize scripting and DevOps methodologies such as Python and automation tools to optimize solution delivery including configuration templates, workflow automation, and demo/POC support.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to customers, guiding optimal usage of terrestrial and satellite communications, and presenting network status and health metrics to stakeholders.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients and internal teams to demonstrate operation and maintenance of Quvia products and their benefits.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with sales, product management, engineering, QA, and service delivery teams to ensure project success, thorough documentation, and effective handoffs upon project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering focused on terrestrial and/or satellite communication systems including multi-link architectures.
  • In-depth understanding of networking fundamentals such as routing, switching, network security, wireless technologies, and datacenter networking.
  • Practical expertise with software-defined networking (SDN), multi-vendor SD-WAN, and next-generation firewall platforms including Fortinet, VMware VeloCloud, Cisco Meraki/Viptela, Cradlepoint, Palo Alto, or equivalent enterprise technology.
  • Experience with scripting (e.g., Python) and DevOps practices for network configuration orchestration, REST API integration, zero-touch provisioning, and automation workflows.
  • Proven success in leading customer-facing POCs, deployments, or network migrations from traditional WAN to SD-WAN in large enterprise environments.
  • Ability to transform network requirements and customer pain points into business-focused solutions, communicating value to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with virtual infrastructure management using VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM, and strong knowledge of computer hardware and OS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage engineering and executive-level client interactions with confidence.
  • Commercial mindset to identify opportunities for cost savings, delivery simplification, and new market creation via superior solution designs.
  • Strong project management skills capable of juggling multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Satellite communication (SATCOM) expertise is advantageous.
  • Experience with cloud-hosted networking and security solutions like Azure or AWS-based NGFW is a plus.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package.
  • Performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including optical and dental plans.
  • Participation in a pension scheme.
  • 30 days of paid annual leave.
  • Paid public holidays.
  • Share option plans.
  • Monthly mobile phone allowance.
